Mrs. Lovyna Gungadeen has been an integral part of Bright Kids and Brightfield International School since their inception. Her extensive academic background, including a BA, MA, PGCE, M(ED), CELTA, AMEP, CERT IV, and the ongoing pursuit of a PhD, underscores her commitment to continuous learning.
With a career spanning 24 years, Mrs Gungadeen has taught at various educational levels, locally and internationally, focusing on British, Australian, and French curricula. As an educator, she passionately believes in the importance of quality education for societal progress. In her role, Mrs. Gungadeen collaborates to ensure educational standards align with the school's values and mission. Her instructional leadership aims to provide high-quality education, and she strives to catalyse positive change in optimizing the learning environment. Her dedication and expertise make her an invaluable asset to the institution.

Director of Studies
With over 25 years of experience in Education and a PGCE in Primary Education from Leicester University, Christel has held positions at RCA schools; Clavis International School as a teacher, coordinator and Head of Department specialising in differentiated learning and upper Primary classes; Westcoast International Primary where she helped set up the Primary and Secondary schools, affiliating them as the first Mauritian school with IPC and IMYC, whilst being the first Headteacher and Academic Manager. She has taught English at the British Council for around 15 years as a language teacher, BC offsite centre manager and teacher trainer working with 3-year-olds to adults and, most recently, with Success English. She has also worked for Dukesbridge schools as the Business Developer setting up their schools in Nairobi and Mauritius. She is now with us at Brightfield to share her expertise in curriculum development, teacher training and IPC practitioner.
Mr S.Reedha
PAQA Advisor
Reedha Rajendra Coomar is a pioneer in developing early childhood and pre-primary education in Mauritius, with over 44 years of experience in this field both in Mauritius and internationally. He holds an advanced diploma in Child Psychology, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Counselling Children and Adolescents, and Project Management. He is an International Member of the "Society of Holistic Therapists and Coaches – Scotland".
Mr Reedha has held several positions in education, including Officer in Charge of the Early Childhood Care and Education Authority, Ministry of Education, and Executive Secretary of the Inter-Country Quality Node on Early Childhood Development-Africa. Currently, he is serving as the School Principal of Brightfield International School and Chairman of the Terre de Paix Children's Foundation-Mauritius, among other positions.
